Friday Night

Theme:
The Call — See the Whole Story.

Verse:
Acts 7

Summary:
Stephen’s final sermon connects the entire Hebrew story — from the Exodus to the Resurrection — and calls men to become witnesses who know the Word deeply and proclaim truth boldly.

Layers:

Takeaway:
The same Spirit that split the rock still breaks open hearts today.

Exodus 6, 19–20

Summary:
At Sinai, God invited His people into covenant — but fear led to rebellion.

We still build golden calves when we trade intimacy for comfort.

Layers:

  • The Text: YHWH’s revelation, the Ten Commandments, and fear of holiness.

  • The History: Hathor worship, ancient carvings of praise — sacred versus profane.

  • The Map: From the Split Rock to the Golden Calf Altar and Sinai Summit.

Takeaway:
The same God who called Israel calls you to tear down your altar of compromise.

The Restoration — Remember and Return.

Exodus 24:4, Isaiah 51:1

Summary:
Even in rebellion, God calls His sons back to remember who they are — built on the Rock, carved from His heart.

  • The Text: Returning to the covenant and the face of God.

  • The History: The stone pillars at Moses’ Altar and the Rock Quarry.

  • The Map: Walk through the quarry — remember what you’re made of.

Takeaway:

The journey out ends where it began — in the Father’s presence.
